Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing   The guidelines for consistent and clear application of dimensions and tolerances are defined by the standards of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as written by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). The number of companies requiring compliance with national standards is continually growing. This course provides the student with the complete fundamentals of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) concepts adopted by ANSI and published by ASME. It builds on prior knowledge of blueprints and machined parts and applies that knowledge to "geometric toleranced" drawings. Students will learn the terminology and definitions of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and how to apply its concepts. This comprehensive course will prepare students for ASME's GDTP Certification.
